During these uncertain times we wanted to pass along some positive and encouraging information.
Thanks to everyone's determination to pack the place, the IHSA girls state meet was a huge success!
There were more 2,000 spectators at Palatine High School. That's the highest girls state meet attendance in more than
six years!
The IHSGGCA is very grateful for all of the work that the coaches and clubs did to bring gymnasts to the regional, sectional,
and state meets, as well as encouraging other supporters and fans. All of your efforts were definitely worth it.
Under the current situation, it is unclear what will happen with the boys gymnastics state series, along with all of the other
spring sports.
We hope for the best so that we can show our continued support for IHSA gymnastics.
THANK YOU AGAIN for you commitment and to keeping girls and boys high school gymnastics ALIVE!!

Attend the
state meet, sectionals and regionals!
To: All Girls' Gymnastics Coaches It's extremely important to get all the girls on your team this year
to the IHSA Regional and Sectional meets, and then to hopefully both the Prelims and Finals of the State Meet at Palatine
High School. The IHSA is looking at our attendance at these meets as one of their considerations in their financial
situation, and this is one factor WE CAN IMPACT as coaches to help KEEP OUR SPORT!
The Boys' Coaches
Association has asked their members to support our State Meet by bringing their teams, and we hope that in May, our Girls'
coaches will be as supportive and bring their teams to the Boys' State Meet! DO NOT ASSUME
THAT GIRLS' OR BOYS' GYMNASTICS WILL NOT BE CUT - DO YOUR PART TO MAKE SURE THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN!! Both
Coaches' Associations are working on several other proposals to present to the IHSA, but right now, the next 3 weeks are critical
to the future of our sport. PACK THE PLACE FOR OUR REGIONAL, SECTIONAL, AND STATE MEETS! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN MAKING THIS HAPPEN!!
